Easter pics 5

Sarah was getting into the posing part.
I liked this one b/c it showed Mary's teeth...or should I say the tooth she was missing.

The girls love these captains chairs. The one Mary is sitting on has been in the Lippert family for a long time. My Dad has used it, I have used it and now my girls are using it. The one Sarah is on is "hers". PawPaw bought an extra one so both girls would have a captains chair at Great Grandmas house. And Sarah caimed it as her own.

Easter hunt

After Church and breakfast, we came home and the girls got to "hunt" for their basket. Sarah's was in the living room and Mary's was in the dining room. Both of them had a great time searching, and it actually took them a little while to find them.
(Sarah's was under that lamp on the right side of the pic)
Mary searched all over and over before it dawned on her to check behind the curtain.
And there it was!

Easter baskets

"Hey Mary. what'd ya get in your basket?"
"I love my basket!!"
Can you tell she was happy with the basket this year?
Mary was happy to find her basket.

Mary has decided...

to get her ears pierced!! Pap has told her since the day she was born that he wanted to buy her her first pair of diamonds. We chose not to pierce her ears as a baby and leave it up to her to decide. Well, this past week she came up to us and insisted that she wanted to get her ears pierced. We explained the pain, and that once one ear was done, she must get the other done...and she had no fears and insisted that she was ready. And that she would take good care of them. It just so happened that Grandma was coming to babysit a few days later, so I decided we would take her that evening.
She was so excited...and such a BIG girl!!
Sarah wanted hers done too, that was until I told her we had to clean them and put stuff on them every day...then she said NO WAY!! (Sarah is very against medicine or anything like that) She went with us, and was so proud of her sister...even though she refused to watch her get it done.

The BIG moment

Last pretty picture with "unpierced" ears.
Jess marking the piercing spot. (she did such a great job with her)
The piercing mechanism...so much simpler than I remember. (and quicker too)
About to be pierced...and thrilled to pieces!!

The piercing

Getting the first ear done...such serious business.
And not looking forward to the second ear...but being such a BIG girl. She wanted to, but didn't even cry!!
Fixing the studs
Newly pierced ears on such a BIG girl. My how she has grown up WAY too fast.
