Glad they had one just our size at camp

And glad Jack had a small quad to ride, even though it did have more power than some of the bigger ones (something about most are 80's and this was a 90)

And let me tell you, Mary used all of its power...on this straight stretch, she gunned it with everything she had!!
I was thankful for my Dads camera so I could set it on a fast setting and catch quite a few pics.
I think Sunny was telling her to SLOW down girl!
I was very grateful to Sunny for taking Mary (and for keeping one hand on the wheel at all times)
There they go buzzing by me again. (It was the perfect area, they could basically go down the path pictured above which is their driveway into camp...but they are the last camp, so we knew without a doubt that they wouldn't encounter any traffic)
Then they would turn around in the yard and go again, and again, and again!
Sunny just kept saying, "this girl has a need for speed" and Mary was loving every second of it. I on the other hand was a tad nervous, but she did great!

We had a great weekend away...and Mary will NEVER forget this weekend, thanks to Aunt Sunny and Jacks quad.

Too cute for a title

So I couldn't come up with a clever title...but these pics just make me smile. While at camp, we went for a walk...almost all of us. I was bringing up the rear and when I walked around one of the last bends, this is what I saw. And yes, that is our little Bee. She was walking with her *cousin* "C" (we call him a cousin because he is my sister-in-laws nephew and we are at all family functions together and I don't want to put his name b/c I didn't ask, but since I am being so vague and all you can see is his back, I think we are O.K.)

He has a little sister, so he is quite used to being around little girls, and so he and Bee really became buddies this weekend. (his mom and dad were just behind them and they were cracking up)

How cute is this??

And there is the rest of the gang, on the other side of the soy bean field...like I said, there were a LOT of us.

Out for a walk

While at camp over Labor Day weekend, we all went out for a walk. We went to see a frog pond, but I guess it dried up, because there was no pond, and definitely no frogs...but we enjoyed the walk and it was great for pics. (gave me another chance to play with my Dads camera)

It was quite a long walk, so Bee needed a ride.
(I was still suffering greatly from my back injury, so I couldn't give her a boost. I noticed in the pic above how slumped over I still was. Didn't know if I could make the walk, but it felt pretty good, and was probably quite good for me)

Bee found this beautiful flower for me.

Bee really enjoyed posing for me, and it was great because I got to experiment with a different setting.

Not as easy as it looks

Mary found out that eating a hot dog is not as easy as it looks--

when you are missing one of your two front teeth. :)

But she managed!

Nothing beats a hot dog cooked over a camp fire...well, nothing but a good 'ol smore that is.

Labor Day Weekend

While at camp, we drove down to see Yogi Bear

He just isn't quite as cute as those models standing beside him.

Daddy loves camp fires...especially when he ends of with both of his girls on his lap. It was such a nice weekend!
