I am cracking up at my blog title, but the reason for that is these posts. I started at the end of my moms trip, hoping to blog all the way through the beginning, but I am too tired. I didn't sleep well last night, and have a headache tonight, so figure instead of trying to get these posts done, I am going to bed. SO...you have the second half of my moms stay with us. The first half will come later. If I had known I would "tire" out, I should have posted them in a different order, hence being"out of order".
O.K.
Good night!!

Christmas...YEAH
We celebrated Christmas with my mom while she was here. It was close enough, and it allowed her to get to see the girls open the presents. She always sends packages, but has never been here to see them open.
They each got a scooter (which is still a HUGE hit)
A cash register (with a scanner and play money as well)They each got a scooter (which is still a HUGE hit)
A doctors kit
And a Mouskadoer laptop. (from a Mickey Mouse series on the Disney channel) BTW this is how I found Sarah that night when she was supposed to be getting ready for bed...she was playing on her computer instead. I guess you can say she liked it too!!
They also got some books and an entire box filled with stocking stuffer things. They made out like bandits. (glad we celebrated early so they can enjoy these things now) Jude and I also had a great Christmas. I got a pair of jeans, some Disney shirts and a MICKEY MOUSE watch...a BEAUTIFUL one. I needed a new watch but hadn't mentioned it to anyone, so when I opened it I was pleasantly surprised. Jude got some great polo shirts for golfing and a warm fleece pullover.
Dr Sarah
It all started out fine and dandy...enjoying the comfy evening outside on the porch while Daddy was out on a fire call
Then we came in, and it appeared Grandma needed her blood pressure checked...Dr. Sarah to the rescue!Oh boy...good thing Dr. Sarah was in the house, Grandma needed her heart listened to as well as her bp checked.
Whew..Dr. Sarah was able to get her all better...but had to check the bp just one more time to be sure she was OK.
When you aren't feeling well, now you know who to call. DR. SARAH!! (and Dr. Mary fills in for her when she is unavailable)
Time to Go
The night before my mom left, before dinner at Hoss's, mom wanted to get some things packed up to ship home. Of course the girls HAD to help. And they also had some pictures for her to pack as well. Pictures for her refrigerator in TX (as they put it).
And of course we had to check on her health..."whats your blood pressure Grandma Linda?"The girls really enjoyed having their Grandma Linda around...they were head over heals for her.
Dinner at Hoss's
The night before my mom went home, the Martins all met in at Hoss's for supper. (at least everyone that was available) It was such an enjoyable, relaxing evening out. The girls were "attached" to my cousin Kristen. She was such a huge help!!
My mom with her BIG brother!! (Uncle Ray)

A mobile
We were too! She is such a good colorer (if thats a word). Lately coloring has been a favorite activity of hers.
Just a close up of one of her cars that she colored.

A learning process
as I learn to french braid her hair.
I really like how she looks with it braided, but I am just not super good at it. I can't get it tight enough, and her hair is so fine and soft that by mid day it falls out of the braid. But we'll keep practicing!!

Great day with the Goodlins
On election day, we had some family come up from Virginia to spend the afternoon with us. We just all gathered and had a cvered dish meal and enjoyed catching up. Here is a picture of the "kids" of the bunch.
I was holding Clayton (my cousins boy) and Sarah (mine), Brittany holding Mary, Lisa, and Greg holding his kids, Reese and Avery.
(Laura and Adelyn were missing from the picture)
WE all left Greg...told him he was sitting with all his friends. :) I was holding Clayton (my cousins boy) and Sarah (mine), Brittany holding Mary, Lisa, and Greg holding his kids, Reese and Avery.

Aunt Rita holding her grandbabies...Clayton and Adelyn
After everyone left, we stuck around for a bit. The girls convinced Great Grandma to play musical chairs with them. It was a fun time.
This and That
Adelyn was enjoying seeing the pictures that Gramma was taking. She thought she was hot stuff!! I know you can't tell real well, but she was all smiles checking out that camera.
Avery had performed some gymnastic moves, and so my girls felt they needed to show their moves. (rolling and flipping) lol
Sarah was ALL over Lisa. She had buttons on her sweater and Sarah thoroughly enjoyed buttoning, and unbutonning her over and over again. She was a bit like a leach...thanks Lisa for being so patient with her and allowing her to hang all over you. :)

Random
On election day, we had a get-together at Grandma Lipperts. Here is the last of the pics from that day.
Mary was LOVING this pink cupcakeSarah picked blue
Mommy didn't love the pink cupcake. It stained her mouth and teeth. Luckily Grandma had a brand new toothbrush we could have, so I brushed her mouth and teeth the best I could, but it was still quite pink.
