I have a lot more pictures from camping, including pictures of our camper, but I am a bit tired, and well...it's 11 o clock, so I have an excuse for being tired. So those will have to wait...SORRY!! I know you have been dying to see it. That and pictures of my beautiful garden...and the thing I got out of it tonight...hmmm-I love making you wait and wander. Any guesses??

Rise and Shine

We enjoyed having breakfast together in our new-used camper. It was so nice to sit around the table, look out the big window and just enjoy the moment.

Some had more energy than others...have I told you what a pistol she is? (that would be a blog entry in itself, so I'll pass on that)

Daddy made me take his seat so I could be in a picture too.

Camp fire

Last weekend we went camping on Sunday night. It is a small campground located close to where we live. We've never stayed there before, but found out we really like it a lot.
Of course we had to have a camp fire and make smores...for Mary and I.

On Friday, the day after Adelyn was born, I had to take Mary to the hospital to meet her. (Sarah got to meet her the day she was born). I had decided to take the girls to the park to play after visiting, so we invited Clayton to go along. He gladly abilged...with the help of his Grandma Bea.
He hitched a ride out the vehicles.

Clayton was so excited to get to hold his NEW baby sister...he couldn't wait to give her a kiss!

And can't forget the proud Dada. (while she was in the nursery getting warmed up, Brian was watching through the glass. Sarah stayed by his side for most of the time, and kept saying to the nurses, "that little girl NEEDS her Daddy...and he NEEDS to hold her, RIGHT NOW!!" "She will stop crying if you give her to her Daddy!" It was the cutest thing, and just proved that the string was already attached to Brians finger...that girl had it wrapped around since the second she was born...and Sarah could sense it. )

And Mary couldn't wait for her turn to hold the baby. Miss Adelyn even smiled at Mary, she really seemed to like her. Maybe Adelyn could sense how much Mary loves her already!!

And Sarah wasn't a bit excited to hold her either!! Can't you tell? She looks like she is having the happiest time of her life.

Baby Adelyn

Here she is a few hours after her introduction to our world...welcome here Baby Adelyn--we've been waiting for your arrival!

Sarah waited so long, she fell asleep. (j/k)
Sarah spent the day at the hospital with me, waiting on the arrival of Baby Burns, so she missed her nap. We went out that evening to pick up supper for Laura and everyone, and low and behold as we were pulling back into the hospital parking lot, Sarah fell asleep, and she really conked out-as you can tell.

A new cousin

My cousin Laura recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Her name is Adelyn Belle Burns.
Here is momma and big brother Clayton...waiting to get the baby back from the nursery.

Sweet baby girl

"aunt" Emily gets to hold her for a bit. (I am really her cousin, but Laura is like an aunt to my girls, and I am like an aunt to her kids)

She was a big girl...8lbs 9ozs. Not quite as big as Sarah was, but she definitely has the chubby legs like Sarah had. So cute!!

Catching up

This was taken a while back...probably the beginning of July. It was the firs of my lettuce that I picked from our garden. I also wanted to check on the carrots (not knowing when they would be ready). I got this cute little thing, and b/c my garden is new, the ground is hard below what was tilled, thus causing the bend in the carrot. It was good, but wasn't quite ready to be picked. (the carrot that is)
I was still excited either way.

When I planted our garden (something I have never done) I told everyone I would be happy to get just 1 thing out of it...and let me tell you, I have gotten 1 thing...multiplied beyond my belief.

And as pretty as the lettuce looks, it tastes even better!!
Nothing better than eating fresh lettuce out of the garden.

Martins day at Idlwild

Recently a bunch of my cousins, their children, Tiffany, a few of my aunts, and a neighbor and her kids decided to spend the day at Idlewild. A total of 18 of us went. We had a great day, the weather was perfect, the crowds were low and we didn't lose any kids.
We claimed a pavillion, had lots of drinks and snacks and for the most part of the day, we stuck together.

I love this picture...not very often can you get 6 kids and the grown up to look in your direction and have a good expression. (fruit snacks work wonders on these kids....right Aunt Janet?)

You will notice a lot of pics of Mary in the following posts. I tried to get as many of Sarah, unfortunately she was a Momma's girl the entire day. After she rode the log jammer, she wouldn't ride anything with anybody, she just wanted to sit on the bench with me. That is also why you will notice a wide variety of my family riding with Mary. She wanted to ride everything, and Sarah wouldn't let me ride anything. I even had to "force" her to ride the kiddie rides. She enjoyed herself once she was on, but it was no easy task getting her on. And she really didn't like when I rode a few larger water sides at Soak Zone. She stayed with my Aunts. And I will have you know...she is still in the Mommy stage...to the point of she won't let me do anything. Uggghhh...I hope this phase passes soon. I love her dearly, she is just getting the best of me these days.

Proof that Taylor and Kristen did come with us through Storybook Forest. We were snapping pics of the "kids" and so we wanted one of them...they were with us, and thank goodness...they were a huge help with all the little kids.

If my grandparents were still living, these would be ALL of their great-grandchildren plsu Jack and minus Isaac. (did that make sense?) They never got to meet any of these ones...Isaac was the only one they knew. They would have been in their glory with all these little ones, as I'm sure they are in Heaven watching over them all.
