Pin the Tail

They also played pin the tail on the donkey. Sarah was at a bit of a height disadvantage, but she gave it a try.
And then a little help from Tiffany...the birthday girl.
Mary had to be blind-folded.
And then try it. Still a little short, but she gave it a good try.

It just won't crack open

That silly pinata was so full, it broke the string, and couldn't be re-hung, so Tiffany's Dad offered to hold it. Everyone took a crack and couldn't get it to bust, so it was the birthday girls' turn. You can tell John had a lot of confidence in his daughter...notice the chair for protection.
Tiffany couldn't get it to pop open, so her older sister Tabitha gave it a whirl. She put everything she had into it too, and still wouldn't open. Finally between a few of her hits, some from some other boys and a little help from the holder, they got it opened up.
Sarah checking out her "prizes". Tabitha helped her, so she ended up with a bag full of treats.
Mary was on her own, and notice the big kids were trying to steal from her little pile she was gathering. She had a pile gathered and was putting in her bag (because she is much nicer and slower than most of the kids and this method works for her) Mean Mommy had to step in and tell the kid to leave her candy be. She didn't have much to begin with and they were taking all she had left. Poor girl, she was trying to get lots, she just isn't aggressive enough. You've all seen it, the pinata opens up and the probably 8year olds plus take over and confiscate everything. We didn't need the candy, I just wanted my daughter to have fun and feel a part of everything. After she got her little pile, she was satisfied. (besides her sister had enough to share with everybody)

Anyone need Easter candy??? LOL

Swing....

Mary's turn at the pinata. She took a decent crack at it.
Notice the good follow through.
Now waiting for the big kids to "crack" it open
Waiting paitently for it to get open.

B-Day pinata

Saturday evening we went to a sweet sixteen birthday party. She had games for the kids, one of which was a pinata. Here the kids are lined up by size to take a swing at it.
And here was Sarah's first attempt...
And then second... (I don't see little league in her near future:) )
And her third and final swing...much better Sarah!!

SFCA Spring Concert

Friday night, Seeds of Faith Christian Academy had their annual Spring Concert. Here is a clip of the pre-school (K-3 and K-4 )classes performing.
I think Mary was more concerned with the fact I was taping her with my camera. She would slip in and out of singing. Oh well, she's still CUTE!!

Spring Concert

Last Friday Seeds of Faith, (Mary's school) had their Spring Concert. The pre-school classes sang a song at the beginning. Here is Mary walking in with her classmates.
The kids were told to find their parents (who were sitting in the first couple of pews)and wave to them. She found US!!
And still waving.
And here is a shot of the group singing. She is in the middle. SHe did great!!

Water painting

At least thats what I think it was called. When I was a kid, we used to have these books, and Nancy had one and gave it to the girls. It is a book like a coloring book, but all you have to do is use a brush and water, and paint. The picture becomes colored as you paint, but just wiht water. I know I am making it sound more difficult than it is, but it was fun, and the girls enjoyed doing a few pages.
Love it, a fun project, with very little mess. And the girls were happy to be able to use water and paint brushes.

"Not Me" Monday

I have been following a blog, "My Charming Kids" and have really taken it to heart. This woman is by her youngest childs side, as he is struggling with a major heart issue. Anyhow, she started something called Not Me Mondays, who knows when and today friends of hers are having other bloggers blog their not me Mondays in honor of baby Stellan.
So here it goes...
***I don't check her blog NUMEROUS times a day to see if there is an update on Baby Stellen...a child I do not know, but feel like I have known forever because I have read her MckMamas blog over and over again...not me, I am too busy for something like that.
***I don't pray for this child...Baby Stellan also known as MckMuffin throughout the day...not me, I'm not that good at praying.
***I didn't try to explain to my husband Baby Stellans heart condition like I actually knew them personally...no not me, I don't do medical stuff.
***I haven't joined not one, but two praying for Stellan facebook groups...no not me, like I said earlier I don't have time for those things.
***I am not STILL on the computer after I posted that I was getting off, just because I wanted to see the latest update on Baby Stellan...not me, I need my beauty sleep...and lots of it. :)
***I am not actually dedicating an entire post to a person and family that I have never met, don't know any acquaintances, and probably never will know...not me, I'm not that kind of person.
***I'm not totally jealous of the cute names MckMama has developed for her family on her blog to protect thier privacy...not me...no way (MckMama, MckNugget, Small Fry, MckMuffin and Prince Charming and Big Mac)

So here's to Baby Stellan...extra prayers being lifted for you and your entire family...wherever you may be. If you wander who Stellan is, or how I have become so attached, check out the link on the side of my blog that links to her blog, "My Charming Kids". Be sure you have some time, because you will need it. If you aren't interested in checking out her blog, please remember the family in your prayers. I am reminded just how truly blessed we are with our two girls, and I thank God for those blessings every day.

And finally...Good Night!!

We Won and this and that

So tonight was my first official volleyball game this year, and we won. Both of our teams won. YEAH!! I knew they could do it. They did it, but boy do we still have a lot to work on. I have lots of pictures to post of this past weeks happenings, but my camera is downstairs, I am upstairs, and I don't feel like going to get it. Sorry...You'll have to wait till tomorrow or Wednesday.

It s a very busy week for me. I can't wait for summer time, when life slows down a bit and I can just sit back and enjoy every moment with our girls. I think they will be happy to have Mommy back too. Luckily I have the world's greatest husband. He has taken up the slack regarding housework, cooking and childcare. The girls are loving their Daddy time!!
Well, its off to bed for me. Busy week doesn't go so well with a tired me.
Have a great week!!

P.S. If you know any business that needs a GREAT computer specialist...I've got the perfect person for you.

My surprise

I'm spoiled!!
Yesterday when I got home from volleyball practice I walked in to the house, to my family just sitting down for supper...prepared by my dear husband...and on the counter was this yummy treat...Blueberry bread. He baked it himself. I'm not sure of his motive...either trying to be nice, or trying to make a point that I don't do the things I used to...like bake little treats every once in a while. I'm taking it as both, because I haven't baked anything in a while, and I know he is nice, because what man would have supper waiting on the table for her when she gets home from work. (with both kids to entertain as well)
(By the way...the supper surprise happens quite frequently...especially lately)
I love my husband!!
So we had to test his creation...Mary approves
Sarah approves of his creation, but not my picture taking.
Still trying not to look at the camera.
They both gobbled up their slices, and were begging for more. Good job Jude!!

I will succeed

Fine...don't look at me. I dont't want your picture anyways!
Enjoy your blueberry bread, but don't you dare look at me!
Ha...Caught you!!!
Milk...It does a body good. This girl will NEVER have osteoporosis as much milk as she drinks. I've never met someone that drinks as much as she does.
