Painting

The girls made this shirt for Daddy for Fathers Day.
(sorry I am that far behind in posting)
Then they used the left over paint to "decorate" their magia's (undershirts)
It took deep thinking

Splish Splash

I recently bought a slip and slide for the girls. It was cheap, but it works for these girls. They LOVED it!!
(even though they still don't have the concept of how to use it)
Mary would either run and literally "slide" or go down on her knees...sometimes a combination of both
She loves her goggles
Her method was crawling.

Grove City Rainbow

On Saturday night in Grove City (the last night of conference) we were packing up the child care room, and spotted this outside. A double rainbow..the second one isn't as bright, but it was definitely there.
And you could see pretty much the entire rainbow...another rare thing for me
the left side was much more faded, but it too was there.

Conference child care

What else do we do at conference??

We make crafts...
we play hide and seek (don't think I ever could have fit into a cubby that small)...
we finger paint...
and we create beautiful works of art
Plus we do a lot of hand washing...but that is more because we have a "kids" sink in our room and we like to play with soap and water than it is because we are covered in paint.

Dorm Life

When we go to annual conference..we stay in a dorm...a very nice dorm I will have you know. It is new and it is great!. SO what do we do at conference, you may ask? Hang out in entertainment centers, of course.
...while eating our lunch...pb& j minus the pb if you are interested...grape to be exact.
and we drink milk. Any more questions?? :)
Like really, you think we could go ANYWHERE and Sarah not be drinking her milk. I mean, the girl should just pull a cow around with her, as much as she drinks. Got Milk commercial here we come!!

Baby Burns' onesie

Here is the onesie I made at Laura's baby party.
"MaMa's milk makes me HAPPY"
"Breastfed and PROUD of it"
Laura and I both have chosen to breastfeed our babies and are proud of it.

Baby Party

My cousin Laura is expecting her 2nd child. Since she had a shower for her first, she decided she wanted to do something different, but still fun to commemorate this pregnancy. So she threw herself a baby party with a few of her close buds. It was a blast! She had wonderful food to munch on, punch, and decorations. She also organized numerous games. (and had prizes for us)

This particular game I wasn't so good at. It was a bowl of rice with baby safety pins in it, and you had to sift through and try to pick out the pins without looking. It might sound easy, but rest assured it wasn't.
I was pretty good at most of the other games, so came out like a bandit. (everyone got at least 1-2 prizes) I won the "how well do you know Laura's pregnancy" quiz, the baby old wives tales, the yarn measurement and the sock matching and sorting. The yarn measurement was hilarious...mine was the ONLY one even close to her size, and her best friend/cousin measured SO big that her yarn could wrap around herself, Laura and me. It was great!!
Then Laura had some onesies for us to decorate for the baby. I must have forgotten to take a picture of my own, but here is one My Aunt Rita made. "If you are reading this, pass me to Gramma Rita"
And one that our friend Marianne made. "I drink until I pass out!" (a nursing joke)
There were some really cute onesies created, now we all just have to wait for the baby to come and wear them all. Laura also had us decorate a pillow case for her to take with her to the hospital, and we made special keychains. It was such a fun day. We all really enjoyed ourselves.

Hair appt.s

If you have seen the girls, this is old news, but if you haven't then enjoy.
THe girls recently had hair appointments. Mary just got a trim. She needs it mainly for her bangs...they grow SO fast.
Sarah, on the other hand got a little more.
This was before
And this is almost after. She got quite a bit more trimmed. Neither girl likes to have their hair pulled up, so we keep it short for the summer. Sarah looks even more sassy with her shorter 'do. (their hair stylist is in the background, Miss Chris, as they call her)

She loves to swing

A while back we had a picnic at the Anderson's. The girls had previously planned it with some of their friends. While we were waiting for their friends to come, the girls enjoyed the swing on the hill
B/c you are on a hill, you do get quite high at one point.
Hence the expression
