All ready

Last night we got a bath and jammies, and were to bed a bit early...in preparation for the 1st day of school.
She did not want to go to sleep...she was enjoying posing for these pics. :)
We had her outfit all ready for in the morning.
And her backpack and badge. She has to wear that the first week so the teachers are able to help her get where she needs to be.
Ahh...can't believe this day is here!!

First Day of Kindergarten

Breakfast for Boo...I woke up early & made Mary chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. (pictured below) Unfortunately she didn't like them...so Daddy ate them. I give up trying to cook for these girls, they haven't liked anything I have made in the last week or so. It is driving me crazy. Everything has tasted quite yummy to Jude and I, they just refuse to eat it. So its not like I am burning stuff or trying a lot of new things...they have just turned finicky. :(
Pretty girl on her first day!

I couldn't pick just one, so you get all of them.

Seems like just yesterday she was a baby in my arms...so proud of my baby!!

Daddy and his little princess!!

My budding assistant photographer took this for us. Doesn't she do a nice job?? And she was quite honored to be asked to take this for me.

As important of a day this was for Mary...I couldn't forget her sister. She is growing up so fast too. But luckily I have 2 more years before you will be seeing her Kindergarten pics. Hard to believe, huh!?!

I even think she looks like her Daddy in this picture. Don't you?

Off to the bus stop

Time to head to the bus stop...with poptart in hand and back pack on...we are READY!!
Walking to the bus stop...it's not far from the house.
Mommy and her baby girl!! Can't believe she is old enough to be starting Kindergarten.
Still waiting for the bus...it is LATE!
Such a beautiful Boo!! She picked out how she wanted her hair done, and had me change her earrings for the special day.

And she loves her sister. (but is probably excited to get a break from her each morning)
Well, her bus was late...it came down the hill...and KEPT GOING!! Yep, it skipped us and left us waiting. Actually we took off running trying to catch their attention when it turned the bend, but that didn't work, so we had to run up the hill, jump in the car and take her ourselves. She was quite bummed, and was so worried she would miss school. We assured her she wouldn't miss and we'd even have her there on time. Thank goodness we only live about a mile from the school.

We made it, and she was off an running!! Literally! (have a great day at school Boo!)

Time to get Boo

Daddy and Bee on their way to the bus stop
Her bus is supposed to drop off at 11:27...yes my watch says 11:45 and I still do not have my baby girl back in my arms. Not a happy momma at this point!!
Ahhh...finally, she is returned. Mind you it was not on the bus they said it would be, and she was a half hour late, but thats another story in itself. For now I will just look on the bright side...I got my baby back!! And she had a great day at Kindergarten.

Not there yet

I still have 222 pictures to look through and blog about...but they will have to wait. My baby is starting kindergarten tomorrow morning. I need to get to bed. And then I will have pics from our big day to post. I won't make you wait too long for the 1st day pics, so the 222 others will just have to wait, I just not there yet. Have a great night, and enjoy the many, many posts I have been adding lately.

A learning process

We are in the process of teaching Mary to ride a bicycle without training wheels. It is truly a process!!
She smiles when Daddy has two hands on her bike.
And panics when he only has one.
They are determined!
She still hasn't got it, but we are working. This is the bike that Santa got her last year for Christmas...it didn't come with training wheels, SO we have no choice but to learn how to balance. :)

Scooter fun

While her sister was riding the John Deere, Mary enjoyed her scooter.
And she sailed all over the parking lot..

Nothing Runs Like a Deere

The girls have had this tractor for a long time and could never use it before (we didn't have good sidewalks or a driveway and it is hard to drive if it isn't on pavement) Now we have a GREAT place for the girls to ride.
And she LOVED riding. Can you tell?
Such a cute tractor driver.
She played a rendition of cops and robbers with her sister. They chased each other all over the parking lot. Great exercise.

Too cute not to share

Sorry for posting a video..but this one is absolutely priceless. I just wish I had been thinking sooner to tape the whole "service". But a little is better than none...so enjoy.

We were at Joyce's house visiting with her and Nancy. This girl is her fathers daughter, that's for sure!!

Landing Zone

While I was in Indiana I also had a post op follow up with my doctor. When I pulled in, I was talking to my Dad, and it got super loud...a helicopter was landing. So I hung up with him and snapped a few shots.

Puppy fun

After the baby shower, my cousin Amy took our girls and her two kids over to our Aunt Sandy's house. They wanted to see Adam and Caitlin and their new puppy. (I think her name is Roxy) I stayed at my other Aunt Sandy's house and helped her and my aunt Janet make peach pies. YUM!!
All the kiddos with Adam.
Mary taking another dog for a walk around the yard. (this dog belonged to Adams in-laws)
Sarah watched from afar. 2 reasons...#1 she still does not care for real dogs (they frighten her) and #2 she was probably still pouting because I made her go along without me. She didn't want to ride the gator without me, but I was in the middle of peeling peaches and knew she would be mad if she missed seeing everyone.

Thanks Amy for taking the girls and for taking pics with my camera!!

Featuring Amanda

While we were in town for the Mears Reunion, we also got to attend the baby shower for my cousin Amanda.
A pic of the baby bump...she is due in October.
My mom and I went in together for her gift...I opted for a lot of soccer themed items as Tony (Amanda's husband coaches soccer)
Here is the laundry basket full of odds and ends from my mom and I. Clothes, cloth diapers (aka burp rags), wipes, rattle, bib, basket, diaper ointment, j&j travel set and some other odds and ends I can't remember at the moment.
