A RARE Bee

Here is Bee's Masterpiece...aka sidewalk chalk drawing
Bee modeling and pointing to her masterpiece
Soaking up the attention
Giggly girl
Aunt Rita and I laughed so hard through this series. Bee laid down to model and kept posing for us with her chalk drawing. We were laughing, because this is SO not her. Usually she is the one hiding from the camera, not posing for it. I just kept snapping away...not knowing how long it would last. I guess it is safe to say, she was very proud of her work.

Fun Easter Shots

Sisters and best friends
I had to post this picture of my cousin Laura's husband Brian. Aunt Rita and I were hiding eggs in the tree (for the older kids) and we got a little carried away in "throwing" the eggs into the tree. One got a little too high, and so Brian was more than eager to go on an egg hunt and retrieve the lost egg. :) Thanks Brian!!
All the kids that participated in the egg hunts at my Grandma's house. (the 3 on the left and 1 on the right are my cousins/grandchildren and in the middle is Clayton, Mary and Sarah...great grandchildren)

Busy weekend

I know, I know I haven't blogged in a while...sorry about that. Life has been crazy and beyond busy for us. Good news though, as of next Saturday, things should slow down. SO that means after next weekend you may be seeing more of me on blogger.
We have had a gorgeous weekend here. Unfortunately I spent Saturday in a gymnasium instead of outside. (volleyball tournament,. we took 2nd place if you were wandering) The girls spent the day with Daddy and then some friends from the Church. Then we had a dinner at Trinity wishing the senior pastor there, well wishes as he moves on to be a District Superintendent July 1st. (he is actually moving sooner, but will commute..that is why the party was early) It was a great party.
Today we had Church, then some outside time. While Sarah took a nap, Mary and I scrubbed the porch...believe it or not, it was a fun project for us to do together, and it looks better than it ever has before. Then we spent the afternoon playing outside. Spent some time at my Aunt's house (working on v-ball stuff) then off to Grandma's. We hadn't made it up to see her since her surgery. She seems to be doing very well. Moving slowly, but that is to be expected. She really seemed to enjoy the company. The girls enjoyed collecting treasures (aka-pine cones, flowers, rocks and grass) from the yard and drawing them. Now we are back home, watching a toon (aka cartoon) before we head upstairs for bed. If I get ambitious I will post some "old" photos from the past couple of weeks. (I still have Easter pics I haven't posted)
If not, you'll just have to wait. :)
Have a great week!!

Trinity Activities

The Saturday before Easter, Trinity had an Easter gethering for the kids. They did crafts, games and of course an egg hunt. Sarah started out strong, but didn't last long. She wasn't up to the excitement and people. So after about half a station (dyeing and decorating an egg) this is where she ended up...in Daddy's arms.
Mary on the other hand enjoyed every moment and every activity. Here she participated in an egg relay.
A blowing race...cute idea, but very hard for little ones.
