Fall Fun

These mini pumpkins we got at Brewers, but besides them, most of the gourds and pumpkins we started from seed. I love being able to grow my own things.
Here are a few pics of some of our maize corn...I can't tell you how excited I am about this stuff and how bright it turned out.
This is one of my favorite color combos.
I can't wait to grow more maize corn...it is like Christmas when it is time to husk it...you never know what is behind the packaging.

This and That

My "now" photogenic daughter Bee was enjoying some time on the Ark.
And my "always" photogenic daughter Boo was ready to slide
Here is part of the front of our house
And the other part.

Fall foliage

The girls were enjoying the leaves filling our yard.
She never slows down...and this day was no different
Well, I guess she slows down when she is covered in leaves. :) (but just for a quick second)
and YES, she is getting much better about having her picture taken (most of the time)

Fall

The girls helped me decorate the front of the house...here they are posing my some mums that my cousins father-in-law gave me. They keep getting prettier by the day...thanks Ernie for thinking of that preacher's wife.
Since we grew our own sweet corn and maize corn, I had my own corn stalks to decorate with.
Mary had to pose by the pole
And the girls even got to enjoy a little time on the playground...since it was such a nice afternoon. (this was a few weeks back-I am that far behind in posting)
BTW...I love how Sarah was laughing in this one.

Pumford Pirate Party

My friend Marianne recently had a pirate birthday party for 2 of her boys...James (2) and Joseph (4).
Here Sarah was decorating her goodie bag,..and they got lots of goodies to fill their bags.
They played a game similar to hot potatoe, and Mary won the knife...she was so proud!
It was a great party...I took a ton of pictures, but am so far behind in blogging, so am limiting to just a few. Gotta get caught up!

Visitors

A few weeks back, my cousin Laura was at a gun bash at the fire hall. Jude told her stop over, and she took him up on the invite. It gave her a chance to feed and change Miss Adelyn and let Clayton play with my girls.
They HAD to have a picture with the baby. :)
Such a cutie!!

Last of Day of Play

I won't tell you how many tries it took to get this picture, and God Bless Sarah, she was so patient and cooperative. One time I had a mother put her face right in the opening waiting for her child to come out (he was like 2 kids behind Sarah) and then I had another stand right in front of my camera lens (HELLO) and then I had multiple kids get in my way...Sarah just kept getting back in line and crawling through over and over until I could get this.
We had better luck with Mary
She enjoyed these stilt-like blocks. She could even walk on them.
Love the hair!!

Sweetie

I was having fun taking her picture...as she is usually not the most photogenic. It turns out, the gazette photograher even caught a shot of her jumping. She made the front page of the Sunday paper last week.
She likes to say "Cheese!"

And Mary decided to get in on the photo action...she pulled away from the jumping just momentarily.
I think I said it before, but the bouncer was just plain awesome. The girls loved it!!

BOUNCING

We did a lot of bouncing at Day of Play
Sarah loved these balls...and bouncing on them.
this girl can really jump!

Parachute and Clifford

They had this huge parachute...the girls started out "helping" hold it...
then they quickly decided that running under it was MUCH more fun
And they were visited by Clifford
The BIG RED DOG

Turning the Wheel

At Day of Play they had this wheel thing...Mary is inside it, crawling and making it roll across the floor.
She was a bit leary, but seemed to enjoy it.
Sarah...on the other hand was not fond of it at all...and had NO interest in making it roll
Actually she couldn't get out of it fast enough...but I thought her wild hair inside their was pretty cute.
