Sarah

Sarah got to spend some time at Janet Stwearts the other day, and Janet took these pictures. They aren't super clear...a picture of a picture, but they will do for now.

I love how this one turned out
Always has to have a baby in her arms.

Towering Sunflower

Our sunflower...started by the girls and I by seed
has grown out of control...and we love it!!
To put it into perspective Mary stood by them.
We are just loving how the flowers are looking this fall.

Aster for Mommy

Janet Stewart had Mary over the other morning and wanted us to get some pictures with her Aster that was in FULL bloom. Of course I didn't object..pretty purple flowers for a picture.
Mary saw these yellow flowers and thought her purple bouquet would look nice in a picture. (photographer in training, she is)
I absolutely love how this one turned out.
Pretty girl with purple flowers
(although she needed a hair cut).

Grandma and Bill

Read the next post to understand these pictures a bit better.

These are some "engagement" pictures of my Grandma, Mary Lippert and Bill Thorp.
Such a cute couple!
pictures taken in Grandma's yard
He really reminds me of my great-uncle Tom...my Grandma's brother. I like my Uncle Tom a lot, so this would be a compliment to Bill. (in case you don't know that side of my family)
They were laughing at my girls...they were running around my aunt and I (who were taking the pictures) trying to get Grandma and Pappy Bill to smile. They were jumping around, making faces and giving each other bunny ears...wander where they learned that from??

The BIG announcement

Recently my Grandma announced that she was getting married. She recently started "seeing" an old classmate of hers, and they decided to get married.
Tonight I went up to see her and her fiance Mr. Bill Thorp. They got her engagement ring picked up today...a beautiful dainty ring with 3 stones; her birthstone, his birthstone and their wedding month birthstone.
Here is the happy couple (I think Grandma was in the middle of saying something)
Can you tell she is EXCITED??
And so is he!
We are SO happy for them...even more so since I finally met him. He seems like a really great guy, and I am so happy for my grandma to have found someone so special in her life. She really deserves it! My girls even called him Pappy Bill...I wanted them to have something like that to call him, and this is what Grandma suggested...so it was just perfect.

Ox Hill Fair

On a small hill in Western PA, between Home, PA and Plumville, PA there is a fair...Ox Hill Fair. (and when I say small hill, I mean it) Anyhow, the Church runs a food booth at the fair, so we spend a good amount of time there. The girls LOVE it. They have kids games and competitions on the first day (Labor Day) and then the rest of the week there is a small carnival
area set up.
Sarah really enjoyed the rides this year...can you tell? (Mary did too, but she seemed tired this particular night-oh and she was cold)
Little ladybug
Both girls won money...on Labor Day when they do the kids games, each kid pays 50 cents to participate in each event, and then if they place in the top 5, they get a check. Mary ran 2 races and won a total of 7 dollars. Sarah won 2 dollars. They both did great. Mary was super excited to win money..I think that was the highlight of the day for her. (that and then when she got to actually sign the back of her check to get it cashed...what a big girl she was)

Chris Tomlin

The concert was held at Hollywood Studios (formerly known as MGM). We sat in the stadium where the Lights Motor Action Show is. Chris Tomlin is an amazing Christian vocalist who opened up on the first night...lets just say it was an amazing worship experience.
This was a picture of the megatron... Ijust happened to snap as they were transitioning...but I still throught it was a pretty cool picture.
Chris Tomlin...gotta get some of his music.
This was just 1 out of many (4 or 5) stages that were set up throughout the park. What an amazing experience to be walking around the happiest place on earth and worshipping the Lord with fellow believers.

the Disney Youth

Here are the youth we took to Disney...first flight for Tiffany, first flight in a LONG time for Hope and Ben is a seasoned traveller.
Outside of the Magic Kingdom...day 1
Poor Jude...trying and trying to track down our tickets...long story.
The group shot...taken at Epcot in our private meet and greet since we are Disney Cardholders.
Not too bad of an adult to kid ratio...4:3

Just some "plane" shots

Looking out my window on the way home from FL with the youth.
just waiting in line to take off...a major storm was hitting about this time. :(
This was on the way to Florida last Thursday. This is the city of Pittsburgh...the bright light in the middle is the stadium...Steelers were playing. To the right is the POINT. Very cool to be able to see that out my plane window.
and the best view of all. :)
