Just swimming

Mary, Sarah and Tiffany.
We invited Tiffany to come along with us. Her sister had plans over the new year, and she didn't, so we invited her along with us. When you reserve a room at the hotel in Erie, they give you 4 passes to Splash Lagoon. Sarah didn't really need a pass, so we thought we would take Tiffany along to use the extra pass. Tiffany watches the girls a lot, so this was also kind of a thank you to her for all her help. We try to pay her when she watches them, but she doesn't always accept the money. So this was our way of thanking her.
Sarah wasn't cooperating for pics, but I caught her in this one...looking upside down at me.
Where's daddy?? There he is!!

We enjoyed the hotel pool on Friday morning before Splash Lagoon opened. Our girls are morning people, so we were up and around and figured we would start swimming. Splash Lagoon didn't open until 10am.
Following are numerous entries from our trip. Sorry there are so many, but I just couldn't pick any fewer!!

Ready, set, slide

Mary enjoying one of the Monkey slides
Notice the monkey at the top...not my daughter :)...that is why Mary calls them the monkey slides.
She was so proud of herself for being able to do this all by herself. The first few times we caught her at the bottom, then she got her confidence and could do it herself. What a big girl!!
Just watching Mary on the slides.

Splash Lagoon pics

Here is another picture of Sarah crawling in the water..it is her way of swimming
Here is a look at the kiddie area. To the left, where you can not see is a tree type thing with baby jumperoos on it-for little swimmers. The pipes you see have all kinds of splashing areas, and steering wheels to control some of the water splash. The water is very shallow, and you can just walk into it-like a ramp. In the back part of this picture are the slides, there are 3 of them. They are made for little ones, but adults can slide down with the little one until they are comfortable. Jude slid with Sarah and then she was off on her own and loving it. (unfortunately I forgot the camera that night, so don't have pics)
Understand this is just the kiddie area, the water park is much, much larger than this. There are plenty of slides for grown ups, a lazy river, a huge hot tub/jacuzzi type pool, actually 3 of them..one for kids, one for adults only and one for anyone. There are other just swimming areas with basketball hoops and other fun things. It is a great place. We would recommend going while kids are in school though, this time we didn't take our own advice, and it was VERY busy. We prefer fewer crowds. (this pic was taken first thing when the park opened, so it wasn't too busy yet, but it filled up fast)
Sarah had fun pretending to wash her hands from this pipe. This entertained her most of the time.

Random water pics

Sarah loved controlling the splashing with her foot...sorry for all the innocent victims of her splash. Hey, its a water park...you're supposed to get wet!
Mary enjoying the monkey slides.
Just posing in the water.
She loved swimming on her tummy...actually she was crawling, but it was cute either way you look at it.

My Wild Girl

Mary loved this water play area. I'll let her expressions tell the story.

Here are some pics of Sarah from Splash Lagoon. During this trip, she seemed to stick her tongue out a lot. She was so cute!

Mary making a splash

Here are some pics of Mary from Splash Lagoon. They had this water play area where water randomly squirts out of the floor. Mary loved it, and turned into a crazy girl running around chasing the water. It was great! I think her expressions tell the story
Mary would blow in the hole...she thought that is how you could get the water to come out. :)
