Beach Babes

Yep...this is my beach babe...in blue jeans and all!! :) In his defense, it was a bit chilly, and he had his trunks on under his pants. I just thought this pic was so JUDE. :) Only he would be caught at the beach with his jeans on. hehehe.
But it wasn't too cold for these two. They were busy little beavers.
Sarah even ventured into the water to fill her bucket.,..a first on this trip.
Can't remember why the expressions, but its cute anyways.

The Beach

We went to the beach a few days while we were with Jim and Jill in Naples. The girls LOVED it!! Especially the sand!!

This is a huge thing...as before this trip she would not even get near the water...even with her Daddy holding her hand. Here...she just went right in. (not too far, but that made Mommy and Daddy happy)
LOVE this one!! Sisters that look so much alike, but yet so different at the same time. I just love these girls to pieces!!!

Water Park

Grandma found this community water park...so one day we went to try it out. Wow, was it great!! And the greatest part was we had the entire kiddie part to ourselves almost the whole time we were there.
Warming up for a bit. (she wanted to be like Mommy and Grandma who were laying out)
They allowed us to bring in a few toys, so the girls were "making" things for Gram. (Doesn't this place look nice?? It was!)
Here is a shot of most of the kiddie part. It was HUGE and had these spray parts and it had an area with some small fountains shooting up...and all of it was shallow, so the girls could just do their own thing. We were able to sit and watch them, but didn't have to be holding them up. It was a relaxing afternoon for us girls (while the guys were golfing).
Thanks Grandma for finding this place and taking us to it. We really enjoyed spending the afternoon with you!! When can we go back??

The Coconut

Pap got a coconut and the girls wanted him to "crack" into it.
I will say now...I am shocked at how HARD it is to "crack" into a coconut.
He was working HARD and with minimal tools. (we still owe you for this one Pap!!)
After much sweat and noise...he was able to crack it. Here he is collecting the juice.
And here is Mary's reaction after trying the juice. :) That's MY girl!! (I hate coconut probably more than any other thing...I think I may even be allergic to it. Uggghhhhh, it is turning my stomach just looking back at these pics)

Thanks again PAP...you were amazing!!! I should have videotaped the whole thing, and we could laugh about it many years down the road.

Vacation

While we stayed with Grandma and Pap in Naples, the girls slept in their room. There wasn't any floor space in our room for them, so they camped out here.
Jude just outside our "house". This was right after he stole $1000 worth of golf balls. Yes you heard me right, he stole that many golf balls. (he didn't get to keep them though) Long story short, we went out for the evening (while Jim and Jill kept the kids) and after dinner we went to a golf superstore. We were asked while we were there to help them with their loss prevention. I was asked to "distract" the two young male cashiers and Jude was asked to walk out the store with a shopping cart full of golf balls. For our services, we were offered a gift card for the store. So we pulled it off, got our gift card and Jude was able to purchase what we originally went into the store to price. :) And we told the manager that he couldn't have picked a better pair...the minister and his wife. (to hear the full story...be sure to ask me...it was the absolute HIGHLIGHT of our vacation) Oh and it has already made it into numerous sermons. lol
The girls anxiously waiting for Pap to crack into the coconut. (see another post for pics of that)
Mary just insisted on having her hair pulled up like mine after her shower. The towel was a tad big for her and weighed down her head, but it lasted long enough to snap the pic...all was good!

Fairwell Naples

This was right before leaving Naples to head home. We took this just outside of where we stayed.
Mary striking a pose
A pretty flower I walked past every day to get in and out of our room.

Grandma and Pap seeing us off. We had a great week staying with them at their place in Naples and enjoying the sunshine with them. Thanks for everything Grandma and Pap!!!

Worlds BEST travellers

I would put my kids up against pretty much anyone as being the best travellers. They are fantastic!!
Now don't get me wrong...they aren't perfect...but we can't complain. We have portable DVD players for them to watch some, we have toys and most importantly, we have snacks.
On this particular trip, on the way home...we hit some major storms on our way out of Florida. We had to sit in traffic for what seemed like forever...only to come upon this flooded roadway. The cars were all having to come into the middle because both sides were so flooded. This pic doesn't show very well how deep the water was.
So, after all that...we were more than happy to get out of Florida and into Georgia.
