Keystone Kids Day
Recently Keystone Sportsmans Club held a kids fishing day. They had their pond stocked and invited the kids to come and fish...no charge. We decided to take the girls...but knowing that I know nothing about fishing...we invited Nancy and Moose to come with us. (Moose loves to fish, and he loves the girls, so he jumped at the chance)
It was supposed to be a bit of a rainy day, but instead it was gorgeous...the rain held off until I was on my way home.
Mary thought she was hot stuff!! She ended up catching 15 fish total for the day (with the help of Mommy, Daddy, Moose and Nancy)
Nancy was such a huge help. The girls were catching fish so fast that both Nancy and Moose were kept busy getting the fish off the hook and putting more bait on. It was supposed to be a bit of a rainy day, but instead it was gorgeous...the rain held off until I was on my way home.

Sarah was pretty excited to catch some fish too. (she didn't last as long as Mary, but had fun none-the-less) She really didn't like when the fish flopped...they sent her running every time. :)
This is a close up of the one Sarah caught in the pic above.
I guess I didn't get a picture ...but both girls won door prizes. The kids had to be registered, then the club drew numbers and gave away fishing related prizes. Sarah won a really nice tackle box (I think it is pictured in my last fishing post) and Mary won a $15 gift card to Walmart. That was VERY exciting. And needless to say, the card was spent that day on a new fishing rod...she needed to upgrade to a real pole vs her little kid one. I guess you'll be seeing many more fishing post to come.
Fishing Day
Such a cute little fisherman
And proud too. (these were her favorite to catch...and boy did she catch them.)
NanNan and PopPop Moose working on a line. They were lifesavers this day!!

The BIG one
Mary reeled in this one...until it flopped near the shore. :) (she ran) Then she wouldn't get near it...I think she preferred the little ones. Moose was pretty excited about this one!
This is the part I have a hard time with. (thanks to Moose for bailing us out on this day...he was a huge help!!)We were allowed to keep a few fish, but we didn't want them, so we shared them with a friend.
Pretty nice looking fish!
Last of fishing
This is about as close to a fish as we could get her. :)
Mary trying to catch a little shade.
Across the pond, my aunt Rita, Uncle Rick, cousin Laura and Brian Burns and their kiddos were fishing.
