The beginning and the end

I posted backwards, so this was the end of our Akron zoo trip. But it is the beginning of what you see, so just keep in mind, they are posted backwards. ALso, I am SO far behind in blogging, that many of these posts are just pictures.
We visited this zoo the day after we saw the Imagination Movers. We have an annual pass to our zoo, and it includes almost all other zoos across the US. So this fun day only cost us $2.00 for parking. It couldn't be beat.

Time to head back to PA.

Kids area

They had a building..and inside it were a few indoor exhibits of fish and the such, but they also had this room with kid stuff. This was a news broadcasters set-up. I took this picture from far so you could see the desk as well as the tv that broadcasted them on.

This was a huge hit with the girls. Mary especially!

There was also a huge climbing wall.

Lions and Tigers and Bears, OH MY!

This was just too cute...my husband spotted this Kodak moment.

This poor bear was SO lonely...it came to the seam of the glass and was breathing and having a "conversation" with the girls. It wanted to play with them in the worst way.

Sarah is trying to figure out what it was doing. (there was a bit of space at the seam, so we could hear it breathing loudly and Sarah couldn't figure it out)

Unique things

They had a small section that was a garden like area...it was very pretty and these were at the entrance to it

Not so unique, but cute none-the-less

This was a type of panda...at this moment I am blanking on the name of it, but when I find the zoo map, maybe I'll update this post with it. Either was it is a very unique animal that I would never have imagined.
