Cousins @ Palm Sunday lunch

Mary & Sarah with 2 of my cousins, Naomi (blonde) and Christa (brunette). The girls had a great time playing together on this beautiful afternoon. Christa is almost 6 years old and Naomi is one month older than Sarah. Mary collected lots of nature treasures, and the girls played with them, and they did a lot of running as well.

I am glad we had decent weather so the kids could be outside and not cooped up inside.

Every year on Palm Sunday, the Lippert family gets together for a bit of a Palm Sunday reunion. We gather at Knepps garage for lunch, visiting and an egg hunt for the kids.

Dad...it was requested of me that I take a picture of this. (mainly the chocolate cake with peanut butter icing) One of your cousins said that was your favorite. The cream puffs were tasty too!

Mary was REALLY enjoying her dessert...especially the cool whip.

It was a great day, good company and fabulous food as always.

She can do it!

As posted previously, Mary was determined to climb this thing from the side pictured here. (It is made to be climbed from all angles, she just had never ventured to the "harder" side) It took a little convincing and a lot of practice to build her confidence enough to do it on her own. I knew she could do it!

Tin TIme Thursday

(I got this theme from another blog, but they had Muffin Mondays, I was busy Monday, Thursday worked, so we made up our own name)
What we did was have a picnic outside...but our lunch came in a muffin tin. I used little tassie pans for us, but I suppose any muffin pan would work. Here is Mary with her tin.

And what is consisted of...pb&j sandwich, mini marshmallows, m&m's, carrots, pineapple, peaches and pepperoni. I know it may sound weird but these are some things she likes and I just used small portions of each item. She LOVED it and gobbled it right up.

Here is Sarah with her tin. (the wind kept blowing her hair in her face when she would look at me)

And its contents...pb&j, hulless popcorn, m&m's, carrots, pineapple, peaches and pepperoni. She too enjoyed her little tin time with Mommy.

It was a beautiful day out, and I enjoyed spending it with the girls. With volleyball season in full swing, I miss out on a lot of "fun" time with them, so this was truly a treat! Stay ned for more Tin Time Thursday concoctions.

Picture perfect

The day, the scenery and the company for me was all just PICTURE PERFECT!!
Here is what I had to look at while enjoying a tasty lunch with my two daughters.

Mary just tasted part of my hard boiled egg...she was obviously not thrilled with it. (But I give her all the credit for trying it)

Aren't they just too cute in their purple shades? I think Mary was asking me, "What Mommy?"

And here is Sarah with her baby Onion. Can't forget Onion in this post, she is like a 3rd daughter. :) And yes she does have a boo-boo on her head. I think Sarah will tell you that Onion fell off a ladder. (oh the imaginations of children)

Afternoon @ the ARK

After lunch, we just HAD to spend some time in the Ark. Imagine that?? Both girls LOVE to swing, so that is where a lot of our time was spent on this beautiful afternoon.

My view of them swinging, and yes, it is extremely convenient having a Noah's Ark playground in your backyard. God is Good!

Mary had not climbed this structure, from this side. (their are many other options on the others sides for getting up) and she was frightened to. Sarah offered her support and said, "I'll catch you Boo, if you fall!" She stood their the whole time with her arms out patiently waiting to catch her sister. Now how sweet is that? Some days the love these girls have for each other just amazes me, and makes me the proudest momma out there.

And once Mary "did it" Sarah joined her...via the other ladder steps in the back, and they posed for me.
