Our house is extremely dry, so it was recommended to us that we get some house plants. I don't have the greenest thumb, but I am happy to give them a try.
This is just a few of them, there are quite a few more, I just didn't snap pictures of them yet.
And this one is my very favorite...to me, it is just so pretty and I love the different colors.
And I know that someone will ask me what it is, so I took a picture of the tag. :-)
They don't seem to be really helping in the moisture avenue, but I understand they are healthy to have around, and they sure do brighten up the room.
When Dad drove up to visit this past fall, he brought along with him some really great black frames. He left a handful of them with me and took some up for Rita and Laura as well. (A special thank you to Aunt Rita for parting with one of the ones given to her, as I ended up being one short for my project) This is basically what they looked like when Dad gave them to us...a nice black frame with a motivational message and picture on them. And this is what they looked like after I added a Disney touch to them. This is actually a puzzle that I put together a few years back.
This is on the wall as you walk in to our living room.

We got these Disney pics a few years back from our post office in Creekside. They were being discontinued so were on clearance. Original price was I think about $20 for most of them, and we got each one for just a couple bucks each. And our sweet postmaster even hunted down more from other post offices for us. And to clarify, not sure if you can tell, but there are actually two different pics in each frame...they just fit nicely together in these big black frames. So, thanks to everyone involved, we now have a DISNEY themed living room. Imagine that!
Before vacation, it was determined that we would have to leave a day early to avoid a bad storm coming in. This meant that Mary would miss her Teddy Bear tea at school. She was devastated, so I made them each a new teddy bear and we threw a tea party. Everyone was invited, Rudolph, bunny, our new teddy bears, the babies and of course Mary and Sarah. Mary set the table before school, so it would be ready when she got home. She even had the places labeled. (all on her own) It was SO cute!! Rudolph and Bunny were anxiously awaiting for her to get home from school. The girls sitting down to enjoy the party! We had lunch with our tea party...pepperoni, crackers, pears (which we have to call apples for Sarah's sake..long story) and gummie bears. The guest of honor Sally the pup enjoyed the party as well Bunny and Rudolph made room for Teddy Showing off her bear that Mommy made. and feeding her bear!! It was the best tea party ever!!
All of these playground pics were taken much earlier in January on a warm 35degree day...before the snow came. These are the SUPER GIRLS!! (they have their own club, in case you were wandering)
and I don't remember how, but I got Miss "G" to laugh and smile so hard that we all were laughing. (she is a grest friend of ours from church)
