Going to Texas

Here is Sarah on the plane.. on the way to Texas. She was hot, and ready to get off. But actually she did great, I wish she would have slept, but she didn't. She just played with her ducky, colored, read books and played with stickers.

Mary did great too. This was a smaller plane, only 2 seats on each side of the aisle, so we had to be split up. Luckily they got us together in the same row, and I was going to sit by myself and have the girls together, but Mary wanted to sit across the aisle. She has a nice gentleman beside her that was probably shocked. I don't think most 4 year olds travel as well as Mary. He didn't hear a peep out of her until the last couple minutes, she dropped a toy on the floor and needed his help getting it. She read books, played with her toys and watched part of a movie.

Mary had just given my mom a letter that she had made with horse stickers on it. It's on Grandma's refrigerator now!

Grandma got the girls some new toys to play with while they were visiting her house. One of which was a little fishing rod and foam fish. Sarah loved playing with it! Mary got foam alphabet letters...all of which are for the tub once we get home.

PuttPutt games

Lunch at the mall. We went to the mall to have pictures taken, and decided to have lunch while we were waiting for the pics to upload at Sears. It was so cute, the food court had little table for the kids, young and young at heart.

After a nap, Jayson wanted to take the girls to the arcade at PuttPutt Golf and Games. Mary's eyes almost bugges out when she walked in and saw all the games. Sarah loved going around collecting the tickets.

Birthday party pics

Mom had her birthday party at a local pizza place. WE gave her disposably camera's to use at her party, but the girls took more pictures than her other guests.

Henry and the Party

Here is a picture of my mom, Mary and Henry.

Sarah at my Mom's birthday party. Mom turned 50 on the 15th, so she threw herself a birthday party. That is why we went to Texas.

Mom likes to read, so we got her a best seller...the Last Lecture. Jude heard it was a great book, so we picked it up for her.

And we got her some disposable camera's to use at her party. The girls enjoyed using them more than anybody else. Here, Bill is holding Mary so she can take a picture of some party guests.

Dogs, Dogs, Dogs

Sarah did feed Henry some left over sausage rolls from breakfast. She was instantly his best friend, but the feelings weren't mutual....sorry Henry. Nothing against you, she just doesn't like dogs.

By the end of the time, she did get a bit better with Henry, but she wasn't as friendly as Mary is with him.

Mom kept the other dogs outside, but let Henry in because he isn't so rambunctious as the others. They were just excited to have new faces in their house. Can't blame them.

Sarah climbed up on Grandma to get away from the dogs. She is not the fondest of animals, so when Henry came to play (he's the beagle) she climbed in mom's lap for protection.

Mary loved playing with Henry, and I think Henry loved it too!!

Uncle Jayson's day

Uncle Jayson picked Wednesday as his day to spoil his niece's (and his sister)

Then we went to Chuck E Cheese. We got there shortly after 9 am which let me tell you is the BEST time to go. We had the place to ourselves for nearly the first hour. It was great. I took coupons, and so Jayson got I think it was 200 tokens. And here every game is only one token. We split them four ways, but that was still a lot of tokens. (Jayson, Mary, Sarah and Jay's friend Jason)

The girls enjoyed having the place to themselves...and mommy could relax a little too not having to chase their every little move.

After a morning of playing they all earned a ton of coupons to redeem for prizes. It was a lot of fun, and when it was all said and done, Mary decided this was her favorite part of the trip. Thanks Uncle Jayson!! And good choice!
