Trick or Treat

Saturday was trick or treat day in Creekside. We couldn't do much trick or treating as we had to get ready for my cousins wedding, but we did manage to get into our costumes.

Sarah was Princess Cinderella...and she made a very beautiful princess if I do say so myself. She even picked out her beads to wear.

Mary was a clown..we couldn't find a nose for her...but PawPaw came to the rescue and found one on Sunday... Thanks PawPaw!!

Sarah even had the "wave" down pat. Here she was practicing as she was patiently waiting for her coach (wagon) to be pulled out front.

Fall Hayride

At Creekside Church, we have a kids program called After School Special. On this particular night we scheduled to take the kids on a hay ride. Here is a partial group shot of the wagon. We had about 30 kids and 20 adults on the wagon. It was cold, but a very fun evening!

Laura and Clayton are going to start coming to the after school special since Clayton is getting older. They started on this evening.

Sarah sat with Tiffany. She sang her little heart out...even when everyone else was done singing...she continued. We did have to fight her because she didn't want to wear her hood.

Grandparents Day

Mary's school had Grandparents day this past Friday. When her class was making and sending invitations, we realized that it happened to be the same week my Dad was going to be in town for my cousins wedding. I was so excited to have so many in attendance for Mary. The school had a program, Mary's class sang, they got to tour their classroom, and then had lunch together. Everyone seemed to have a good time. Mary sure was excited to have everyone there!

When we left, Jill took Mary for a hair cut (just a trim) and then she took the girls to her house for a sleepover with their cousins. We had a church meeting that night, so it was nice not having to chase after them. I picked them up the next morning...being lectured by them that their next sleepover needed to be more than just one night. :) Sarah even piped up on this issue.
They also said they ate the last of Pap's waffles...when Mary stays at the Urso's, first thing when she wakes up, she runs up and gets Pap to make her his special waffles. :) (Pap better get more waffles by Friday morning, we have reservations for the Urso hotel on Thursday night after the BIG HALLOWEEN BASH. )

Dinner and entertainment

On Thursday evening while Dad was in town, I had him down for supper, as well as Laura & Clayton and Uncle Rick and Aunt Rita. It was a very enjoyable evening of visiting, and watching the kids play. (Well some of us were watching...)

Mary and Clayton spent the evening attacking Uncle Rick (or Grampa to Clayton). Here I think Uncle Rick got the best of Clayton. :)
Here is one of the many shots of Clayton and Mary getting Uncle Rick. He was the one that didn't get to "watch" the kids...because he had to stay aware...either Mary or Clayton were climbing on him or jumping over him.
Sarah spent her evening drinking her water. I think she drank that whole bottle of water. She was too busy drinking that she didn't get in on the fun with Uncle Rick. He was a trooper this night. Thanks Uncle Rick!

Hi Daddy!

Jude was out of town most of last week for business. The girls looked forward to his calls each day. Here..we were at the Church and he found us there. As you can see in their eyes...they were very happy to hear from him. Sarah seemed to like just hearing his voice, but usually Mary had a lot to say to him. They always told him about their day and how much they missed and love him. They sure are Daddy's Little Girls!!

Dreary day...outside

Last week, Jude was out of town for a conference and it was a very cold and dreary day. The girls were bundles of energy as usual and I needed to think of something fun for them to do. We have a bounce house, and so I decided to blow it up and let them bounce away their energy.

Normally Sarah is a bit scared of the bouncer, but I just put her in it this day...and I think you can see she overcame that fear.

Mary actually only bounced a little and then she was on to her next game...but Sarah wanted to keep it up so she could continue to bounce.

It took up our entire living room, but it also entertained for the whole morning. And needless to say, Sarah took a good nap that afternoon.

I was able to get some things straightened up, and some work on the computer caught up. It was a dreary day outside...but far from dreary on the inside.

Hard at work!

I was doing some things on the computer and Sarah was hard at work on the floor beside me. So hard that she put herself to sleep. I noticed it got really quiet, and this is why. What a cutie pie! Some days I wish I could just fall asleep in the midst of doing my work.

I guess she will be a "rightie".
