I thought this lion looked pretty comfy...all spread out trying to keep cool, I imagine. Too bad he doesn't live at Disney-they have an air conditioner built in to the rock that they lounge on.
One of Pittsburgh zoo's newest members...about 1 year old, but new to the "exhibit"
Momma was keeping her baby cool on this warm, sunny day. (hence the water speckles in the picture)
And here was the other newest member... the other baby. This one was also just about 1 yr old. (we were looking at these ones through plexy glass...I think the momma was coming to check me out)
The baby elephants were probably one of my favorite parts of this trip to the zoo. (the polar bears is probably my other favorite)
