IUP Homecoming Parade

Saturday morning was IUP's homecoming parade...sorry to say, but it was a let down after Marion Centers. Don't get me wrong...the parade was great...very long and full of floats and entertainment, but it was way too spread out, so overcrowded, and I think the girls maybe got 20 pieces of candy...and that was a combined total. (now on that note...we don't need or want the candy, its just that for little kids, that is half the fun of a parade...and the kids all around us got way more candy...we just kept getting skipped and when it did get thrown our way, olders kids would run out and take it. We are donating most of the candy we did get from this weekends activities to the Church for an upcoming activity)

Now the fun part was that we got to enjoy the parade with some friends of ours...and then went to their house aftewards to get dried off, and warmed up. It was cold and turned into a rainy morning. Thank goodness for a good stroller and many umbrellas.
Creekside was even represented with their antique truck...both the driver and passenger attend our church, so that was cool too!
Here is Mary before the parade started...checking to see if it was coming. Notice the sidewalk across the way was wall to wall people. It was worse on our side...and we weren't even at the most populated spot.
Here are the girls attempting to gather some candy, I think.

I was listening to it on the radio! Glad I missed out on the crowds!
