Wednesday Jayson picked as "his" day and so in the afternoon we took us to the Fort Worth StockShow (similar to a fair...just in large scale) and then to the Stock Yards for supper. Here is a pic of him and the girls at the Stock Yards before we ate.
At the Stock Show, they had a kids petting zoo. Mary loved feeding the animals...here my Mom is giving her more feed. Mary was quite picky though, about who she fed...the animals chased her around, but if you weren't the particular animal she was looking for, you were out of luck. She is a girl on a mission...her mission!Sarah even opened up to feeding the animals, but she wasn't so picky. If you came to her, and she had food, she would share. (Sorry it was too full of a place for me to get down to her level to take a "better" picture.)
Here is Sarah checking out a set of calfs. I think they were less than a week old, but can't remember for sure. But the funny thing is they are twins and as you can tell, one is brown and the other is black. I guess one must have taken after the mother, and one after the father. :)
Not all the animals were in yet, b/c the stock show had just opened a day or two before, but we did get to see a good bit, and it was great b/c the crowds were minimal. It was a fun afternoon.
